What is New Level Coffee & Bakery?
New Level Coffee & Bakery is a specialty coffee shop and bakery in north Pompano Beach, with cakes made in-house daily and sold by the slice. The coffee list is espresso-based and short on purpose: espresso, Americano, cappuccino, latte, caramel macchiato, iced latte.
The bakery side is built around those drinks. The cakes are European in style — thin honey layers, puff pastry and custard, pistachio and raspberry — and there's savory food as well: Chicken Quiche and beef samsa. Cinnamon rolls come in several flavors, including a Caramel Peanut Cinnamon Roll that's soft, gooey and loaded with caramel and peanuts.
Why is the short trip north worth it?
Because you get specialty coffee and a slice of cake that was made in-house that day, in one sitting, without hunting for either one separately. That's harder to find than it sounds, and it's the reason people drive over from Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point and elsewhere in Broward County.

Which cakes can you order by the slice?
The case holds seven cakes, all made in-house daily and sold by the slice:
- Honey Cake (medovik) — many thin honey layers with a soft cream filling, traditionally sour-cream based; a classic Eastern European cake.
- Napoleon — many thin puff-pastry layers with custard cream, the Eastern European take on mille-feuille.
- Pistachio & Raspberry — nutty and tart together.

What coffee should you order with the cake?
Start with the cappuccino — it's one of the drinks our Google reviewers name most often, and its milk softens the sweetness of a honey layer cake without flattening it. A few more combinations we'd stand behind:
- Honey Cake or Napoleon with an Americano — the clean bitterness cuts through custard and cream.
- Pistachio & Raspberry with a latte — gentle enough to let the pistachio come forward.
- Snickers or Chocolate & Blueberry with an espresso — small, dark, done.
- Strawberry cake with an iced latte, which is the sensible answer most of the year in South Florida.

What if it's too warm for hot coffee?
Then order cold — the lemonades are made fresh and there are four of them: Fresh Lemonade, Peach Lemonade, Lime & Mint Lemonade and Mandarin Lemonade. Strawberry Lemonade appears on the list too.
On the coffee side of cold, there's Iced Coffee, Iced Mocha, Iced Latte and Iced Matcha Latte, plus Iced Tea Premium if you'd rather skip caffeine from coffee altogether. A peach lemonade and a slice of Strawberry cake is an easy Pompano Beach afternoon.
