What is espresso, and who orders it straight?
Espresso is coffee in its most concentrated form — a small, dense cup with a layer of crema on top. It's the base every other drink on this list is built from, so ordering it straight is the most direct way to taste what our coffee is like.
Choose espresso when you want something short and intense, when you're between errands in Pompano Beach, or when you're finishing a slice of Honey Cake and want a sharp counterpoint to all that sweetness. It's the smallest drink we make and often the most satisfying.
What is an Americano?
An Americano is espresso lengthened with hot water — a full-size cup with espresso character rather than a small, concentrated one. No milk, so the flavor stays clean and direct.
It's the drink to order when you want something you can sit with for a while, or when you take your coffee black but find a straight espresso gone too quickly. An Americano holds up well alongside a Chicken Quiche in the morning, and it's an easy choice if you're settling in at a table.

What is a cappuccino?
A cappuccino is espresso with steamed milk and a generous cap of foam — smaller than a latte, with a lighter, airier texture and more espresso flavor coming through. It's one of the drinks our Google reviewers mention most often.
One review puts the atmosphere and the drink together: "Great atmosphere to work with a laptop and enjoy a cappuccino." If that's what you're after, our laptop-friendly page has more on working from the cafe. A cappuccino is also the safest first order if you've never been in — it shows you what the espresso tastes like without hiding it under milk.

What is a latte, and how is it different from a cappuccino?
A latte is espresso with more steamed milk and only a thin layer of foam, which makes it the mildest and creamiest of the hot drinks. The difference from a cappuccino is proportion: more milk, less foam, a softer and rounder cup.
Order a latte if you find straight espresso too sharp, if you're drinking coffee later in the day, or if you want something that sits comfortably next to a sweet slice. It's the most forgiving drink on the menu and the one most people land on.

What is a caramel macchiato?
A Caramel Macchiato is our sweet option — espresso and milk with caramel, for people who want dessert and coffee in the same cup. It's the drink to pick when you'd rather not choose between the two.
Because it's already sweet, it pairs best with something that isn't. If you're ordering food, go with the beef samsa or the quiche rather than a second sweet thing. And if you're the type who wants both coffee and cake, our cakes and desserts are made in-house daily and sold by the slice.

What about the Iced Latte?
The Iced Latte is espresso and cold milk over ice — the same gentle, milky profile as a hot latte, built for South Florida weather. It's the espresso drink most people reach for in the afternoon.
We also make a few other cold coffees, including Iced Coffee and Iced Mocha, plus an Iced Matcha Latte if you're skipping espresso entirely. You can read more on the Iced Latte page. One note worth making: not every drink on this menu comes both hot and iced, so ask at the counter if you have a specific pairing in mind.
