What is different about a small specialty coffee shop?
The first difference is the size of the list — you can learn the whole menu in one visit. At New Level Coffee & Bakery that means six espresso drinks, a case of cakes made in-house daily and sold by the slice, and a row of lemonades and cold drinks for the walk back out into the Florida heat.
The second is that the coffee and the cake belong to each other here. The cakes are made in-house daily, so the slice of Honey Cake next to your cappuccino came out of the same kitchen the same morning. If you would like a few more combinations to choose from, we wrote out some coffee and cake pairings.
Which coffee should you order first?
Start with the cappuccino — it is the drink Google reviewers mention most. The espresso list is short and classic: Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Caramel Macchiato, and Iced Latte. On a warm afternoon there is also Iced Coffee, Iced Mocha, and Iced Matcha Latte, plus premium teas.
"I stopped there just to grab a quick coffee, and now I honestly have a hard time drinking coffee anywhere else! The flavor is smooth, rich, and never burnt." — Nataliia, Google review
There is more on each drink on our espresso, cappuccino and latte page, or in the coffee section of the home page.
What is in the cake case?
European cakes, made in-house daily and sold by the slice. Honey Cake — medovik — is the one to try first: in the Eastern European tradition it is built from many thin honey layers with a soft cream filling, classically sour-cream based. Napoleon is its puff-pastry relative, many thin layers with custard cream between them.
Alongside those two you will usually find Pistachio & Raspberry, Strawberry, Chocolate & Blueberry, Snickers, and Honey & Raspberry. There are cinnamon rolls in several flavors, including a Caramel Peanut Cinnamon Roll — soft, gooey, loaded with caramel and peanuts — and a Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert Cup with cheesecake filling, strawberry sauce, and cookie crumb.

Is there anything savory?
Yes — Chicken Quiche and beef samsa, both savory and both easy to eat alongside a cup of coffee. They are the two dishes to ask about if you want something more substantial than dessert in the morning.
With either one, an Americano is the simple choice: black, unsweetened, and a clean counterweight to something savory. More on both dishes on the quiche and samsa page.

Can you sit down and stay a while?
Yes — there is fast free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating, and you are welcome to bring a laptop and work from the cafe. A morning can turn into two hours without anyone minding.
A Google review summed it up this way: "Great atmosphere to work with a laptop and enjoy a cappuccino." If that is what you are looking for, see our page on being a laptop-friendly coffee shop in Pompano Beach.
