What exactly is a cappuccino?
A cappuccino is espresso topped with steamed milk and a thick layer of milk foam, traditionally in roughly equal parts. That foam is the whole point: it gives the drink a soft, almost dessert-like texture while keeping the espresso clearly in front. Compared with a big milky coffee, a cappuccino is small, and you taste the coffee in every sip.
It's an Italian classic that travels well, and it has become the default order for a lot of people who want something more interesting than drip coffee but less sweet than a flavored drink. You can see the rest of our espresso drinks in the coffee section of our menu.
How is a cappuccino different from a latte?
The difference is the ratio of milk to foam. A cappuccino has less milk and a thick layer of foam, so it drinks smaller, lighter on the tongue, and more strongly of espresso. A latte has considerably more steamed milk and only a thin layer of foam, which makes it bigger, softer, and milkier — the coffee flavor is still there, just wrapped in more milk.
- Cappuccino — small, foam-forward, espresso clearly in front.
- Latte — larger, milk-forward, gentler and rounder.
- Americano — espresso and hot water, no milk at all.
If you want the long version, we wrote a whole comparison: latte vs cappuccino vs Americano.
What do guests say about the cappuccino here?
Cappuccino is one of the drinks our Google reviewers mention by name, and the comments tend to be about flavor rather than frills. One guest put it this way:
"I stopped there just to grab a quick coffee, and now I honestly have a hard time drinking coffee anywhere else! The flavor is smooth, rich, and never burnt." — Nataliia, Google review
Another review line sums up how a lot of people use the place: "Great atmosphere to work with a laptop and enjoy a cappuccino." We're top-rated on Google, and we'd rather let those reviews speak than make claims in our own voice. More on the working-hours crowd on our laptop-friendly coffee shop page.

Which cake goes best with a cappuccino?
Two of our cakes were practically built for a cappuccino: Honey Cake and Napoleon, both made in-house daily and sold by the slice.
Honey Cake (medovik) is a classic Eastern European cake — many thin honey layers with a soft cream filling, traditionally sour-cream based. Its gentle tang and honey sweetness sit well against the foam and the espresso underneath. Read more on our Honey Cake (medovik) page.
Napoleon is the Eastern European mille-feuille: many thin puff-pastry layers with custard cream. It's lighter and more delicate, and the custard plays nicely with the milk in a cappuccino. See the Napoleon cake page for the full description.
If you want fruit instead, Pistachio & Raspberry, Strawberry, Chocolate & Blueberry, Snickers, and Honey & Raspberry are also on the counter.

What if you'd rather have something cold?
If a hot cappuccino isn't the right call in South Florida heat, the cold side of the menu covers it. Iced Latte, Iced Coffee, Iced Mocha, and Iced Matcha Latte keep the coffee-shop character, while Fresh Lemonade, Peach Lemonade, Lime & Mint Lemonade, Mandarin Lemonade, and Iced Tea Premium are there when you want something fruity. A slice of medovik with an iced latte is a perfectly good substitute for the classic pairing.
